Torgau. A true breadcraft war have decided: The readers have decided: The delicious rolls of the Torgauer Bäckerei have decided First place conquered! With 523 votes, the fans of the baking art chose their favorites. Master baker Max Füchsel (35) can proudly announce: "We are very happy about the result and praise of our customers!" The Füchsel buns are the best for many, not without reason.

The competition does not sleep! The Taube bakery from Merkwitz landed in second place with 98 votes, followed by the twenty bakery from Beerendorf near Delitzsch, which received 63 votes. The survey for the best rolls in the region brought ten traditional bakeries into the race, including the Krosten bakery from Mehderitzsch and the Großtrebener Landbäckerei Schröder, both of whom are known for their excellent baked goods.

The ranking of the best rolls in northern Saxony is clear: 1st Füchsel/Torgau bakery with 103 votes; 2. Bakery Taube/Merkwitz with 98 votes; 3. Bakery twenty/Beerendorf with 63 votes; and so forth. The Füchsel bakery, which Max Füchsel has been in the third generation since April 2024, is known for its rolls, which attract customers in droves, especially on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. "We start mixing dough at 1 a.m., the rolls are baked from 4 a.m.," explains the master baker. The classic, double rolls, is the absolute hit and is in great demand by the customers.

The rolls are made with high -quality ingredients and according to an old family recipe. Max Füchsel emphasizes: "We rely on quality - when choosing the raw materials and the production of our products." In the bakery, only flour is processed from the Saalemühle and the Dresden mill. Annett Winkel, who has been working in the company since 1990, is the bun boss and, together with her team, ensures that customers always get the best rolls. Despite increasing raw material prices, the Füchsel bakery remains loyal to its customers and keeps prices in the framework.
