Carnival start in Torgau: Fools celebrate the beginning of the season!

Torgau. The anticipation is huge! On Monday, November 11th, the foolish time begins, and the carnivalists are ready to fill the streets with colorful costumes and happy laugh. The preparations are in full swing: the costumes are polished, the fool's caps are ready, and the confetti is only waiting to be thrown into the air!

The first big events are just around the corner! The Beilroder carnival club 1953 invites you to the first major carnival party in the Ostelbihalle on November 16. At 7:53 p.m. the motto of the 2024/25 season is unveiled! On November 11, the members of the Rosenfelder Carnevalsverein 1963 Together with the Beilroder Carnivalists, the famous key, but the big events take place until February.

already two days earlier, on November 9th, the carnival association Weidenhain starts the new season with a red and white ball. From 8 p.m. there will be a party in the gym of the elementary school! The Beckwitzer carnival club also invites you to the opening event in the Torgauer Sanssouci-a Hawaii party that begins at 8 p.m.

The carnivalists from Belgern-Schildau, including the Neußen Carnevalsclub and the carnival club Sitzenroda , meet on the Belgeraner marketplace on November 11th to take over the symbolic key and to organize a närrische triach. In Schildau, the carnival period is only heralded in February and March 2025 with the annual “fool's summit”. The tension increases and the preparations are in full swing!
