Eilenburg. The anticipation for the Eilenburg Christmas market is huge! On November 29, 2024, the festive event opens its goals and promises an unforgettable experience. Visitors can look forward to a colorful program: On Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

After the success of the previous year, the Christmas market is again expanded from the Nikolaikirche to the Linden at the town hall and to the market square on the fountain. "We have 31 dealers who lure with their festive stands and delicious offers," says Katharina Eidner, who is responsible for public relations. From mulled wine to handmade decorative items to Erzgebirge products - there is something for everyone here!

31 dealers are represented this year

The Wichtelwerkstatt is getting even bigger this year and offers small visitors numerous activities. From Saturday the children can listen to fairy tales, make gifts and let off steam in the Santa Claus post office. A new fairy tale, the Sterntaler, joins the already known stories. In addition, a picture frame for the perfect family photo is set up to capture the festive atmosphere.

Lights pass tours and tower guides

A continuous stage program and the traditional touring tour on Friday at 7 p.m. promise festive entertainment. The Nikolaikirche opens its doors to tower tours and a reading corner, while the city also ensures a sustainable Christmas season: the decorative trees are set up according to the market in the Eilenburg zoo. It is recommended for the journey to use the S-Bahn or the bus because there are numerous free parking.
