CFC U19 dominates in the state cup: 3-0 victory against FC Eilenburg!

The U19 of the Chemnitz FC impressively convinced the first appearance in the "AOK Plus state cup"! In the round of 16, they prevailed with a clear 3-0 against FC Eilenburg, which is in third place in the national class. In front of 94 enthusiastic spectators in the "Sparkassen football center", Levi Noel Klose, Amadeus Zamora and Kiran Mauersberger provided the goals. A perfect start for the defending champion who took the lead after just five minutes!

The sky blue boys showed from the start that they are determined to get on. Klose opened the peat festival, and Zamora increased to 2-0 with a brilliant lupfer. Coach Wappler took the opportunity to give younger players playing time, while the next big duel against Hertha BSC is already coming on Saturday. Despite a phase of negligence in the first half, the CFC remained defensively stable, thanks to the strong Cedric Wimmer in the goal, which thwarted several opportunities of the Eilenburg. Mauersberger set the final point with his goal in the second half.

But the U19 not only has reason to be happy in the cup. In the newly formed DFB youth league, they want to compete against the best talents in the country. After a bumpy start to the season with a 1: 4 defeat against FC Energie Cottbus and another setback against lawn ball sport Leipzig (0: 5), the boys are now showing their fighting qualities. The first victory came 3-0 against Halleschen FC, and a dramatic 3-2 victory against Hertha BSC caused a cheering mood. Trainer Wappler is optimistic: "The mood has improved noticeably. The boys strive for the maximum!"

The U19 is currently in sixth place with 14 points and a goal difference of 16:18. Wappler emphasizes: "We want to convey this winning mentality to the boys." A clear focus is on training players for the first team. The upcoming games against Hertha BSC, Erzgebirge Aue and Rasenballsport Leipzig are crucial for the further course of the season.
