Citizens' dialogue in Torgau: Solutions for the shortage of doctors wanted!

In Torgau there are important questions about medical care on the agenda. The association active citizens of democracy in the Torgau region (ABDT) invites you to the citizens' dialogue entitled "(house) shortage of doctors - what to do?" a. The aim of the event is to illuminate the existing lack in the field of homeland and specialists and to discuss solutions.

Among the speakers are well-known specialists such as Alexander Schur, the coordinator of the Torgauer Medical Act, as well as Sven Thielemann, a specialist in surgery and general medicine from Beilrode. Lars Maiwald, the chief physician of the Torgau district hospital, will also be present. The mayor of the city of Torgau, Henrik Simon, will also contribute to the discussion, which is moderated by Julia Sachse.

Opportunities for young doctors in the region

The discussion should deal with the question, among other things, what opportunities young people are open in the medical field and how they can design their professional career in Torgau or the surrounding region. "We want to examine the current situation of medical care in our region," said the organizers.

The citizen dialog should not only take place once. According to Oliver Thomas, a member of the Board of the ABDT, it is planned to continue this series of events and to organize further topic -related evenings in the coming year.
