Theater play Trust yourself: Prevention of sexual violence in Freiberg

A gripping play for the prevention of sexual abuse will soon conquer the stage in Freiberg! On November 7th and 8th, 2024, the theater ensemble "brave and loud" from Halle will show its impressive piece "Trau dich" in the concert and ball house Tivoli. The target group are pupils in grades three to six from Freiberg and the surrounding area, including schools in Halsbrücke, Flöha, Rochlitz, Waldheim, Döbeln, Lichtenau, Mochau and Eppendorf. A truly important project in the region!

The initiative "Trust yourself!" has been relating to a well thought -out strategy for clarifying sexual violence against children and adolescents for years. With an age -appropriate, humorous approach, the piece conveys the little spectators how they can listen to their belly feelings and deal with uncertainties and experiences. Children aged eight to twelve are not only entertained, but also sensitized - an important step for their security!

The cooperation of the youth welfare office in Mittelachsen with the “Trau you!” Initiative should ensure a continuous educational process in the region. A future -oriented approach: The creation of a specialist center for dealing with sexual violence against children and adolescents in Central Saxony is on the agenda. Affected children and adolescents in emergencies can currently seek support from the regional family counseling centers - and even without accompanying parents.
