Hainichen helps: donations for Ukraine urgently need!

Hainichen. A new auxiliary transport has reached Ukraine! The 27th saddle of tract full of urgently needed donations started from Hainichen in early November and brought a variety of relief goods to the crisis region. "It is impressive to see that the school furniture that we have loaded in Hainichen is now in a school in Pidrizhzhya. This shows that our help arrives and is urgently needed," reports Thomas Kretschmann, project manager of the Communitas Association.

But the stocks in Hainichen have shrunk frighteningly! "We need everything. Our warehouse in Lutsk is completely empty," reported Oleksandr Yukhymchuk, who is responsible for distributing the relief in Ukraine. Together with his wife Alyona and her club "Youth with a mission", they work tirelessly to distribute the donations. The latest transport brought several hundred boxes with clothing, over 100 wheelchairs, walking benches, crutches and even care beds to Ukraine. "We only have relief supplies for about a quarter of trucks," continued Kretschmann. Another transport is planned for the beginning of December, and the hope for support from the population remains strong.

This is how the help arrives

The willingness to donate in the region is remarkable! Despite the challenges that Ukraine are currently experiencing, the people in Hainichen have already packed 40 gift boxes for children and seniors. The parcels can be filled with toys, hygiene articles and durable foods. Sleeping bags, tents and even feed for rescued animals are also particularly needed. The donations can be handed in on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the donation camp. Donations of money are also welcome and can be transferred to the donation account of the Communitas Association.
