Großwaltersdorf celebrates 100 years of small animal breeding with a big show!

Großwaltersdorf, Deutschland - The small animal breeders' association 1925 Großwaltersdorf e. V. organizes the 72nd Großwaltersdorfer small animal show from January 10th to 12th, 2025 and thus celebrates the 100th anniversary of the association. As Blick , the first exhibition already took place in the founding year 1925.

The association currently has 38 members, including four young people. The upcoming show awaits a total of 658 animals, which are made up of 179 rabbits, as well as 479 chickens, ducks, geese and pigeons. The exhibitors come from the district of Central Saxony and adjacent places. On January 7, the animals will be brought to the exhibition hall and evaluated by price judges on January 8. The evaluation is part of the district championship for breed poultry and pedigree rabbit, whereby there is a special youth class for young breeders. In addition, rabbits are offered for sale and there is a traditional raffle.

The small animal show opens its doors at the following times:

  • 10. January: 1pm to 6pm
  • 11. January: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • 12. January: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
