Gold rush or fraud? Roßweiner 20-year-old in court!

Döbeln/Roßwein. Originally started as a buyer of fake gold, he himself landed on the dock. In the dispute over two alleged goldunts, which turned out to be worthless counterfeits, there was a surprising legal dispute that attracted the public prosecutor's attention.

The Roßweiner had agreed to a dangerous barter: he wanted to exchange two ounces of gold, which he bought for 3,550 euros, for four kilograms of silver worth 3,300 euros. Well, in the first main hearing, it was found that he knew that the gold was fake. The indictment was at the attempt to fraud because he tried to get a asset advantage.

Exchange business: Gold against silver

The involved exchange business took a dramatic turn when the Bavarian dealer, who awaited the gold exchange from the shy Roßweiner, doubted the packaged ounces. A renowned precious metal dealer confirmed his concerns and issued a certificate that confirmed the falsification. The police were also involved and the goods were immediately confiscated. The dealer now warns: "He cleverly threaded things!"

After a year full of complications, the case came back to the courtroom, where the 20-year-old finally commented on his behavior. His defender tried to minimize the punishment on juvenile justice, which led to some heated discussions. While the youth court assistance saw a "considerable ripening delay", the public prosecutor's office advocated adult criminal law, given the severity of crime.

judge sees youth-typical misconduct

Judge Simon Hahn finally decided to condemn the accused for six months of non-profit work, under the pretext that it is a youth-typical misconduct. With the verdict, he hopes to help the 20-year-old from unemployment that he has been experiencing for half a year. The procedure is financed by the state treasury, but the judgment is not yet final.
