Meißner winemakers clear: golden awards for top wines!
The winegrowers' cooperative Meißen brings Saxon wine art into the top class again! With impressive awards from the German Agricultural Cooperative (DLG), the cooperative continues its glamorous triumphal march. In a highly competitive competition that comprises wines and sect from 13 growing regions in Germany, Meißen secures a place in the top 100 best wine producers 2024. But that's not all: in the category of the best seed producers, Meißen emerges as a radiant winner-the only Saxon winery in the illustrious Top 10 district!
Lutz Krüger, the managing director of the Saxon winegrowers' cooperative Meißen, clearly expresses it: "This award is a great incentive for our team. We are proud to be part of the German wine culture." With a yield of five golden, seven silver and five bronze medals, the cooperative shows that it delivers excellent quality with hard work and dedication. Krüger particularly appreciates the importance of the sect in her range, which acts as a figurehead of the company. The mechanism for the quality assessment of the DLG is extremely detailed, with extensive evaluation of appearance, smell and taste of the wines and sect.
again excellent success!
But the success of the Meißen wine cooperative does not end here. The winery also cleared the winery at the AWC Vienna Award 2024, a globally recognized platform for wine rating - with five golden and four silver awards. The cooperative was even honored as the first Saxon winery with four stars! The impressive overall result is not only a proof of the quality of your wine production, but also for the remarkable cooperation with her winegrowers and the talented cellar master Natalie Weich, whose commitment is not unnoticed.
