Beware of parking: Car injured pedestrians in Schlitz!
A shocking incident occurred in Schlitz-Queck on Friday evening when a 48-year-old man from Bad Hersfeld did not properly secure his black car Kia. According to the Osthessen-news he parked his vehicle at 8:45 p.m. in a sloping point, and when the car started to roll, the man tried to stop it. Tragically, he and his right foot stumbled under the rear wheel of the vehicle, which led to a broken ankle. The car finally came to a standstill on an adjacent fence, causing property damage of around 1,000 euros.

In another significant incident, a stolen BMW in Leipzig was involved in a traffic accident on December 7, 2024. The driver of the BMW 420i, which has not yet been identified, collided with a VW Caddy and Floh parked at the edge of the road at around 3:50 a.m. Police reported. When examining the BMW, the police found that the attached Polish license plates were approved for another vehicle. Investigations showed that the BMW was only stolen in the Leipzig district of Schleuß in the summer of 2024. The police are now investigating the scene of the accident and forgery of documents for unauthorized removal.
