Planting festival City and Forest: Chemnitz celebrates Apfelbaum splendor!

An exciting event is just around the corner! From November 3 to 10, 2024, Chemnitz transformed into a green oasis at the "City and Forest" planting festival, organized by lived neighborhood, the main project of Chemnitz 2025. 20 committed plant partners, including citizens, schools, church communities, environmental associations such as the federal government and NABU as well as local companies, help and make this festival an incomparable experience for everyone!

The opening of the festival takes place in the popular Hartmann factory (Fabrikstr. 11) and promises to really get momentum with a musical highlight of LASCA FOX on an emission -free bicycle trailer. On the first day, relaxing yoga short classes, creative workshops, exciting excursions and interesting discussions about apple trees, city green and local history are also on the program. If you want to be there on November 3., you should come as soon as possible - the solemn program ends at 5 p.m. in the botanical garden!

But that's not all! From November 4th to 10th, all interested parties can actively participate in various planting campaigns. A special delicacy awaits visitors on November 8, when the children of the Kita Campulino together with the Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau plant trees on the Reichenhainer Straße campus. November 9th is crowned with an exciting mini concert by the band office and a cricket event on the Brühl. The planting festival will find its festive end with a winter festival in the Jutta Müller ice sports center on November 10th, where winter activities are waiting for all participants from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
