Göttingen. A basketball star in the rise! Kostja Mushidi, who has only been playing at BG Göttingen since October 1, has established himself as a real hope. The 26-year-old, who was still without a club at the beginning of the season, scored a sensational 24 points last weekend and thus set his personal record in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). Despite a bumpy start with five defeats in a row, the team is optimistic about the upcoming home game against the MLP Academics Heidelberg on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the S-Arena.

Mushidi, who was hired as a replacement for the injured Mathis Mönninghoff, has drawn attention to strong performance in the past few weeks. "I feel in good hands here, that means a lot to me and I want to give it back," he said in an interview. With a two-month contract, he is aware of the challenge and is confident: "I am very confident. But I also know that I am not perfect and had my quirks."
