Kostja Mushidi: Göttingen's basketball hope in the upswing!

Göttingen. A basketball star in the rise! Kostja Mushidi, who has only been playing at BG Göttingen since October 1, has established himself as a real hope. The 26-year-old, who was still without a club at the beginning of the season, scored a sensational 24 points last weekend and thus set his personal record in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). Despite a bumpy start with five defeats in a row, the team is optimistic about the upcoming home game against the MLP Academics Heidelberg on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the S-Arena.

Mushidi, who was hired as a replacement for the injured Mathis Mönninghoff, has drawn attention to strong performance in the past few weeks. "I feel in good hands here, that means a lot to me and I want to give it back," he said in an interview. With a two-month contract, he is aware of the challenge and is confident: "I am very confident. But I also know that I am not perfect and had my quirks." BG coach Olivier Foucart praises Mushidi as a "intensity leader" and emphasizes his passion and versatility.

Chance for Kostja Mushidi at BG Göttingen

Mushidi not only proved on the field, but also in conversations with the new national coach Alex Mumbru. "It was a very good conversation and now it is up to me that he can build on me," he explains. On Saturday he will give everything to repeat the intensity of the game against Chemnitz and lead the BG Göttingen to victory. "If we can do it, I am very good things for playing against Heidelberg," says Mushidi confidently.

The basketball world looks forward to this aspiring player, who not only enthuses the fans, but also has the chance to play back into the national team. An exciting weekend is imminent!
