FC Wacker 90 demands a new sports complex - petition with 500 signatures!

Wittgensdorf, Deutschland - Chemnitz - FC Wacker 90 Wittgensdorf e.V. from Chemnitz is in direct struggle for the future of its sports facilities. With a passionate petition, the club, the proud 320 members, including 250 active football players, wants to create a new sports complex project. Massive space problems and a dilapidated sports hall bring the activities of the athletes to the brink, and it is high time for a change!

Vice Chairman Marco Backhaus (34) is frustrated: "We have 17 teams and only one soccer field." Due to the limited space available, not even new members can be accepted. In order to escape the acute lack of space, training units are already organized in surrounding villages - and the effort is enormous! "Every year we only drive around 15,000 kilometers for training sessions - without the games," he complains. In addition, the association suffers from the loss of important sports because many have migrated to neighboring cities.

a modern sports center required!

The big goal of FC Wacker 90: A modern sports complex with an artificial turf pitch, a two -field hall and a new, reliable clubhouse. "Our current clubhouse falls apart," says Backhaus. "In the event of heavy rain, it rains through the ceiling!" Adds the chairman Jörg Nickl (52). The costs for the new building could go into the millions, but the members do not give up. Over 500 signatures have already been collected within a few days - the goal: at least 2100 to April 15, 2025.

Although Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (49, CDU) and Mayor Sven Schulze (53, SPD) recognize the urgency of the situation, short -term financial resources are excluded to support. Nevertheless, the association remains optimistic and plans to send an open letter to the OB and the city councils in the coming weeks.
