This week promises exciting developments in the EU that will captivate all attentive citizens! On Friday, October 25th, Chemnitz, the Saxon industrial city, celebrates the press launch for the cultural mega event "C the Unseen". In just three months, Chemnitz will become the cultural capital of Europe. With over 100 projects and more than 1,000 events, the city expects an impressive program with connections from high and subculture as well as thrilling hands-on offers. The event takes place from 11.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hartmannfabrik, where Commission representative Barbara Gessler is also available for questions!

At the same time, the EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Protection, Janez Lenarcic, takes part in the disaster protection exercise "Magnitude" in Mosbach. Numerous emergency services are prepared for a simulated earthquake of thickness 6.9. The focus is on the rescue of spoiled people, dealing with dangerous chemicals and drinking water supply - an indispensable test for Belgian security.
