Chemnitz 2025: New InfoPoint and additional rail connections for guests!

Chemnitz, Deutschland - The city of Chemnitz has unveiled exciting innovations for the Capital of Culture 2025! From now on, travelers can arrive at the main train station at the new info point of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH. This info point not only offers an interactive information screen, but also a variety of information materials that make it easier to visit Chemnitz. "The new InfoPoint is a visual welcome for everyone who comes to Chemnitz by train," says Andrea Pier, the commercial manager of gGmbH.

For more orientation in the city, a new path control system will be introduced at the beginning of December, which will show the path from the main train station to the city center and the Hartmann factory. The pedestrian tour is optimized with 56 new signs. Mayor Sven Schulze emphasizes the importance of this measure: "The many positive reactions to the program show that we can count on numerous external guests what is good for Chemnitz."

Advanced rail connections for cultural capital year

Another highlight is the planned bus connection between Chemnitz and Prague, which will bring international guests from the “Golden City” to the cultural capital twice a day. This connection will serve both the large International Prague Airport and central subway and tram stops. "I am sure that our local transport offers will convince European visitors," assures VMS Managing Director Matthias Korda.

To make travel easier for visitors, a "Cultural HauptstadtTicket" is introduced, which is valid for 25 euros for three days in the entire composite room. This ticket is digital and available in various sales outlets and also offers groups of up to five people an attractive price.
