Malschwitz plans great redesign: new sports and game systems for everyone!
Malschwitz. An exciting project takes shape! The municipality of Malschwitz has decided to fundamentally renew the open space behind the Waldschulheim in the Halbendorf/Spree district. In a recent meeting, the municipal council unanimously awarded the planning services for impressive 35,000 euros to the renowned office planning in Oberlausitz in Bautzen.
The plans are clear: the existing open, play and sports facility, which is heavily frequented by the visitors of the Waldschulheim, is getting on in years. Worn sports facilities, defective seating and overgrown play equipment are just a few of the problems that need to be tackled urgently. Mayor Matthias Seidel (CDU) emphasizes that the construction that is used by the youth club in particular has considerable damage and must be replaced by a new building. A “publicly usable, barrier -free or poor toilet facility” is planned, which meets the needs of all.
financing and support
The costs for the first construction phase amount to around 118,000 euros, with an impressive share of 90 percent being funded by the Wildnatour program of the Free State of Saxony. This shows how important support from above is to implement such important projects.
