Osterburg benefits: 505,000 euros for children and communities from wind power!

Osterburg, Deutschland - Stendal is on the upper! The wind turbines in the unit community Osterburg will rinse a whopping 505,000 euros in the coffers in 2025! A profit for the municipality, which is secured by existing contracts of the operators of 36 from a total of 56 wind turbines in the area. These generous voluntary payments should not only fill the cash registers, but also benefit the people on site!

"The Federal Government has set a clear goal with the new EEG law 2022: Creating acceptance of wind power and photovoltaic systems on site!" Explains Mayor Nico Schulz (Free Voters). A concept for using the money has already been drawn up, which makes the citizens benefit directly. In addition to support for lunch in kindergartens and primary schools, part of the money is also invested in the towns in which the wind systems are standing and which are therefore directly affected by the noise loads. It is planned to support up to 2.16 euros per meal for the parents! The budget for this measure could be up to 220,000 euros!

Future plans and options

Before three options, the administration is in the distribution of the BBILLE payments: 15 percent for particularly affected towns, an annual per capita flat rate or the distribution of 252,000 euros to the municipalities with wind turbines. The decision could have a decisive influence on how wind power use is accepted and lived here. Not only the allocation, but also the use of the money is closely monitored. The affected towns must agree on how to use the funds best.

A spokesman for the municipality emphasizes, however, that the 505,000 euros are still variable for 2025 and not set in stone - if the amount decreases, the subsidy of lunch has an absolute priority! In addition, the money blessing could increase: further agreements with solar park operators are planned, and the potential of wind power is far from exhausted. So the wind blows vigorously in Osterburg, and the view is good!
