Cyber security in Halberstadt: Pilot project for more protection starts!

An exciting turn for IT security in German municipalities! The country has provided impressive 170,000 euros to significantly improve protection against cyber threats. This groundbreaking project will begin in Halberstadt as well as in the Salzland district and in the Arneburg-Goldbeck community in the Altmark. The initiative aims to develop tariff -friendly solutions for digital security and to support municipalities in the best possible way.

cyber security measures on the advance

In order to raise the current state of cyber security, a specific questionnaire was created. On this basis, a prioritized catalog of measures is being developed, which is intended to serve as a blueprint for other municipalities. Digital Minister Lydia Hüskens (FDP) emphasizes that this pilot project will offer the basis for adapted strategies in other cities and municipalities. "With the best possible effort, the measures can be adapted to the local requirements," she said confidently.

The measures taken aim to significantly increase the safety level in the IT area and thus to better arm the municipalities against cybercriminal attacks. This initiative development could become a trendsetter for numerous other communities that face similar security challenges.
