Traffic chaos in Magdeburg: Construction work ensure massive restrictions!

Magdeburg, Deutschland - Magdeburg faces a traffic chaos week! From Monday, November 11th, the city will be hit by numerous construction sites and closures. Drivers have to adapt to massive restrictions, as the city administration warns. The work lasts until November 15th and affect several main roads.

The reason for the inconvenience? Local complaints about excessive traffic! In the Loitscher Weg, so -called Berlin pillows are installed as brake thresholds to reduce the traffic load. But that's not all: In the night from November 11th to November 12th, the Kaiser Otto Bridge will be closed out of town from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Construction tests and work on the bridge processes are on the program here. The following evening, the direction of travel will be affected in the city. Depirtions are set up via the north bridge train.

In addition, from November 11th to 15th, the Westring between Große Diesdorfer Straße and Spielhagenstraße towards Sudenburg will be closed. There are urgently needed asphalt renovation work here, and here too, a detour is signposted via the Besstraße and Spielhagenstrasse. A short section of Fichtestrasse will be completely blocked from November 11th to 18th because crane work is carried out. The traffic is diverted through the long way.

And that's not all! From Wednesday, November 13th, the Magdeburg tunnels will be cleaned in the evening and night hours. The tunnel under the Askanian square will be closed from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., followed by the tunnel under the university square on the night of November 14th at the same time. Here, too, drivers have to expect diversions.
