Ex-Magdeburger in check: Who really won the change?

Magdeburg, Deutschland - Nine players left the 1. FC Magdeburg to look for new challenges! While some are hunting for higher destinations, others had to leave the club due to new plans. But how have the ex-Magdeburger beat up so far? Here is the exciting overview after a third of the season!

The departures in the focus

Julian Pollersbeck, the 30-year-old goalkeeper, joined the promoted Jahn Regensburg. After a year full of injuries, he is fit, but as a reservist he has little playing time. Regensburg is at the end of the table, and Pollersbeck cannot prevail. It looks very different with Jamie Lawrence! The 22-year-old central defender is a real top performer in Tyrol and has already scored a goal in 13 games. After a difficult year he got back to shape at the FCM.

Leon Bell Bell, the 28-year-old left-back, has recaptured his regular place near Eintracht Braunschweig and fights for a return to the Cameruns national team. Daniel Elfadli, 27 years old, has prevailed at Hamburger SV and plays a key role in a team with two goals and one template. Amara Condé, the FCM's ex-captain, has now found a place in the defensive midfield of SC Heerenveen after an injury, but is still waiting for his first goal.

Jonah Fabisch, 23 years old, dared to jump to Erzgebirge Aue, but he stays a reservist there too. Ahmet Arslan, the creative head, has proven itself at Rot-Weiss Essen, but is in the relegation battle. Luca Schuler, the 25-year-old striker, ventured from Magdeburg to Hertha BSC, but his balance is disappointing: only two goals in ten games. And finally Luc Castaignos, the 32-year-old striker, is currently without a club and is fighting with a serious injury. The future remains uncertain!
