An unforgettable moment in the Harz, which pushes everyone else into the background! A seriously ill woman, Barbara, has finally realized her lifelong dream: once in the air. The Lower Saxony wish car fulfilled her a heart's desire that had been accompanying her for a long time. At the age of 70 and when it is ill, this dream seemed distant and unrealistic. But the decisive day came!

Thanks to the ASB desiration and the Wolfenbüttel hospice center, Barbara and her "soul-related" Thomas, who also suffers from cancer, went into the air for an exciting adventure! The two not only experienced a unique view of the beloved Harz, but also a magical moment full of peace and let go - a magical last trip before life is coming to an end. It wasn't just a flight; It was an emotional highlight.

When the "Brockenballon" gently took off and the two hovered over the top of the Harz foothills, the world became unimportant. The sun's rays danced on the landscape and worried down on the ground. Barbara and Thomas beamed hand in hand with joy. After the landing, a very special honor was waiting for her: Pilot Winfried Borchert crowned Barbara for the "Countess Barbara of Bad Harzburg" and Thomas for "Count Thomas, the Brave Himmelstürmer". Rays in their faces do not reveal the feeling of overwhelming freedom and the unforgettable memories they carried.

This trip was a very special event for the desired car team: the 500th fulfilled heart description since the project started. Since 2017, volunteers have tirelessly committed themselves to fulfilling their last wishes in their last few days.
