Loading points for electric cars: Saxony-Anhalt in comparison-where do we stand?
Loading points for electric cars: Saxony-Anhalt in comparison-where do we stand?
In Saxony-Anhalt there are massive differences in the e-charging stations! While only a measly 55 and 56 charging points are available in Jerichower Land and Wittenberg, the possibilities are literally out of the ground in other regions such as the Burgenlandkreis with 218 and the Harz district with 216 charging points! This inequality in the infrastructure ensures plenty of conversation and makes it clear where e-mobility really absorbs speed!
The big cities outperform themselves: 243 charging points are available in Magdeburg, while Halle shines with 248 charging points. But this high number is not without reason - the number of electric cars in the cities is also considerably larger! This shows the real potential of e-mobility, while rural areas remain. According to the Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), the ratio of electric cars to loading points in the districts of Stendal and Mansfeld-Südharz has the best values. In contrast, Jerichower Land and Wittenberg are at the end of the scale-an alarming sign for e-mobility development there!
fifth place in the federal state comparison
In the competition of the federal states, Saxony-Anhalt can knock on the shoulder! With fifth place in the VDA ranking, which evaluates the ratio of electric cars to loading points, the country shows that it also progresses. Since 2015, impressive 4.7 million euros have been invested in the expansion of the charging infrastructure. For this year, funding applications of 1.5 million euros are on the way, and even 0.2 million euros are already available for the coming year. It remains to be seen whether these investments will improve the charging situation in the disadvantaged circles!
