Engagement fund: 750 projects for better cooperation in Saxony-Anhalt
Halle (Saale), Deutschland - Halle (Saale)-an exciting moment for the football club Blau-Weiß Grana! Today the association received generous support of 750 euros from the engagement fund, which has been promoting projects and initiatives in Saxony-Anhalt for over nine years. State Secretary Susi Möbbeck, the state government's integration officer, presented the financial aid and praised the commitment of the association, who actively campaigns against racism and for successful integration.
"Volunteering is an indispensable pillar of our society," emphasized Möbbeck. "Without the many citizens who work for the well -being of others in their free time, our state would not be what it is." Since its foundation in 2015, the engagement fund has paid over 1.12 million euros to 750 projects that contributed to improving neighborly coexistence in a total of 290,000 hours. Jan Greiner, project manager of the Landesarbeitgemeinschaft of the volunteer agencies in Saxony-Anhalt e.V. (Lagfa), emphasized that the uncomplicated support of the fund is of great importance for many small clubs and initiatives.

The focus was originally on supporting initiatives that work with refugee families. Today, the support of neighborly projects to generation exchange and inclusion ranges.
