Around 50 badminton players from the regions of Zeitz, Elsteraue, Naumburg, Weißenfels, Gera, Meuselwitz, Zwickau and Böhlitz-Ehrenberg competed against each other at the weekend at the spectacular 17th Elsterstadt Cup in Zeitz. The Badminton Sportverein (BSV) Zeitz, which organized the event, transformed the hall into a true sports mecca! Excitement and thrills were inevitable because badminton is undoubtedly one of the fastest sports in the world!

"The butterfly ball hisses through the air with up to 200 kilometers per hour, at the professionals even at breathtaking speeds over 400 km/h!", Explains Benjamin Fahr, the new club chairman, who clearly describes the dynamics of this rapid game. This young man, who arrived at the BSV in search of the perfect sport seven years ago, raves about the family atmosphere in the club. "I was warmly welcomed and quickly learned the technical foundations," said the student from Rehmsdorf. It is precisely this connection that serves the players as a backing and continues to inspire them to overcome their limits.
