Cäcilia Nowotny: A life full of memories and gratitude in old age

Cäcilia Nowotny, the living legend from St. Ingbert, has recently celebrated its incredible 101st birthday! Surrounded by family and friends, the vigorous lady beamed at her celebration, who was flooded with congratulations and gifts. She received a sparkling crystal candlestick from the Prime Minister, while the district administrator Theophil Gallo congratulated Ulrike Mauß with flowers and a money gift. A festival full of joy and gratitude!

"I am satisfied and don't want to complain either," says Cäcilia with a smile. Despite her old age, she only occasionally needs help when putting on and taking off and is proud not to have to take tablets. Your daily ritual? Read the Saarbrücker Zeitung to always stay informed! She sits in her fully automatic armchair by the window, where she watches what is happening on the street. "Unfortunately, I usually don't know the people anymore, but I regularly call my younger brother," she says, while her eyes shine with joy.

a life full of memories

Cäcilia lives with her daughter Roswitha Schuff in the house that she built together with her husband in the 1950s. "It was a lot of work, but an unforgettable time," she recalls, and proudly shows a black and white photo of the building. The bricks you use come from destroyed houses from Saarbrücken - a real sign of stamina and creativity!

Your family is her greatest treasure: two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren come to visit regularly at the weekend. "It is a grace to achieve such an old age. And that I can still live in my house and be cared for by my daughter, I am very grateful for that," says Cäcilia, who is looking forward to the moments together with her family. An inspiring life that gives courage and shows how valuable the little things are!
