Eichendorffstraße will be completely closed from Wednesday!

From October 9th, a section of Eichendorffstraße in Scheidt will be repaired in Saarbrücken. This measure is part of the continuous efforts of the state capital to improve the infrastructure.

The renovation work affects the section between the Kettelerring and Dudweilerstrasse, where the street is milled and newly paved. This area is completely blocked during the construction work, which means that parking there will not be possible. Road users are encouraged to use alternative parking facilities in the area.

one -way street regulation adapted

In order to optimize the traffic management during repair, the “Am Bartenberg” road, which is designated as a one -way street, is lifted for the duration of the work. This enables the residents to enter and exit to the neighboring streets and the cemetery. Pedestrians are not affected by the work and can continue to use the sidewalks without any problems. Likewise, access for rescue and fire engines remains guaranteed at all times, which is essential for the safety of the residents.

The estimated costs of the renovation work amount to around 30,000 euros and are expected to be completed by October 11, 2024. However, the time frame could change due to weather -related influences.

These infrastructural improvements are an important part of municipal planning in Saarbrücken. A detailed overview of the current construction sites in the city is on the website sb-schaft.de find.
