Worms Christmas market: Festive highlights and appointments in Advent!

On Wednesday, November 20, the festive time in Worms begins with the eagerly awaited Christmas market! The "Worms Christmas" promises a spectacular program full of events, appearances and unforgettable experiences. The opening will take place on November 25th at 6 p.m. on the Obermarkt, where the city leaders together with Dean Jutta Herbert and the chairman of the Worms-Wonnegau showman association, René Bauer. The event is accompanied musically by the Lucie-Kölsch music school under the direction of Wolfgang Neidhöfer.

The Christmas market remains open until December 23 - an exception is the Sunday of the dead on November 24th. Visitors can enjoy the festive atmosphere every day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the mulled wine and catering sale runs by 10 p.m. at the latest. A special highlight are the new Worms Christmas balls, which are available on November 28th and 29th in Exchange Bude 1 for only 5 euros each.

The market extends this year from Parmaplatz to the upper market to the Roman emperor, where numerous stands with delicious food and drinks are waiting for visitors. The Worms showmen ensure exciting rides and the mulled wine comes from local winegrowers. "Kloos’e Helmut" ensures entertainment on the Roman emperor, while local clubs present their products in four interchangeable stalls. A crib in front of the former Kaufhof building and new lighting elements will also decorate the city.

The accompanying program is also impressive: In addition to concerts on the stage at the Obermarkt, there are walking acts and Christmas city tours, which are led by the tourist information. The musician David Maier and the band perform the Höhner in the Theater Das Wormser - a must for all Christmas lovers! Another highlight is the festive lighting of the largest Christmas tree from Worms on November 30th at 5 p.m., decorated with 20,000 LED lamps. And not to forget: the traditional tower bubbles on the 4th Advent, in which the Worms baroque wind ensemble plays in front of the imperial cathedral and invites you to sing along
