Music school celebrates 50 years: information days for small and large talents!

The Westerwald district music school celebrates its 50th anniversary with special information days in 2025, which offer music those interested in music the opportunity to discover and try out different instruments. On Saturday, January 18, the first day of information will take place in the pavilion of the district music school in Montabaur. A week later, the second information day on January 25th in Hachenburg, Lohmühle 2, follows in cooperation with the Hachenburg youth center. Both events start at 11 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.

During the information days, visitors have the opportunity to try out different instruments and ask questions about them. In addition, information about breathing techniques for singing is provided. The district music school also offers special lessons for younger musicians, such as the "music mice" for children aged 1.5 to 4 years and the "music foxes" for children from 4 to 6 years. Trial lessons for desired instruments can be agreed on site, and the offer is aimed at both children and adults.

The Westerwald district music school has a wide range of teaching offers, including individual lessons, group offers, parent-child courses and senior courses. Participation in various ensembles such as the big band, the children's choir and the adult choir is also possible. The lessons comprise various music styles, including rock, popular music and classical music, and takes place in different locations in the Westerwaldkreis.
