In Rhineland-Palatinate, the tourism industry remains optimistic despite challenging conditions, as the managing director of Rhineland-Palatinate Tourismus GmbH, Stefan Zindler, explains. The overnight stays and arrivals increased in 2023 compared to the previous year, but the growth is behind the original expectations. The level of the number of guests is not yet at the stand of corona pandemic, but the distance is reduced. About 8.5 million guests were counted last year, an increase of 8.2 percent.
