Heinrich-Pesch-Haus, Ludwigshafen, Deutschland - In the Ludwigshafener Heinrich-Pesch-Haus, a explosive topic will be highlighted on Tuesday evening: toxic relationships! Experts provide valuable tips on how to recognize, avoid these harmful connections and help those affected. Heike H. from Speyer had to experience first -hand how such a relationship can make life hell.
everything seemed perfect. But behind the facade humiliated Heike's partner again and again. "He wanted to rule over me," she describes her agony. They got to know each other on a dating portal where the love of Brittany brought them together. But when the wedding date came closer, the first warning signals came: a dispute over a sauce for the wedding celebration escalated and had Heike despair. "I put my head in the sand and waited until the storm passes over," she recalls the beginning of her martyrdom.
a life full of humiliations
The situation continued to escalate. On the day of her daughter's birth, her husband let her down when a friend congratulated. "I was sitting in bed and cried because I was so abandoned," says Heike. Over the years, it has been emotionally isolated. Her husband managed to scare off her friends and family. "I was trapped in the relationship, only with him, the children and the mother -in -law," said Heike. Depression determined their everyday life, it felt like a shadow of themselves.
But then the turn came! After twelve years of marriage, Heike reported for a scout tent camp. There she found people who return their self -confidence. "For the first time, I had fun in life again," she says. It took three years to divorce in which her husband continued to humiliate her and even threatened with murder, but Heike fought back to life. Today she took her fate into her own hands and lives again.
The Catholic Academy Rhein-Neckar invites you to a lecture and a discussion about toxic relationships in the Heinrich Pesch House on November 5 at 6 p.m. Registration is required for interested parties.
