Speyer says goodbye to Thomas Ochsenreither: A life for the employees!

Speyer, Deutschland - Speyer. An emotional farewell to a man who has shaped the fortunes of the employee representative (MAV) over three decades! Thomas Ochsenreither, the long -time chairman, was retired on October 31, 2024. Vicar of General Markus Magin opened the ceremony with the urgent words: "An era comes to an end". He praised Ochsenreither's tireless efforts and his responsibility, which he not only adopted for himself, but for all employees of the diocese.

Thomas Ochsenreither entered the financial chamber of the Episcopal Ordinariate on July 1, 1984 and switched to IT three years later. In 2005 he was elected Chairman of the MAV for the first time and led the fortunes of representation over five term. His commitment was celebrated in 2023 with a 40th anniversary of the service before going to well-deserved retirement. Magin particularly praised Ochsenreither's serious view of communication and his ability to openly address problems and actively seek solutions. "Thank you for your commitment for our employees, who was also a commitment to our whole diocese," said Magin.

The farewell was accompanied by the members of the MAV and Ochsenreither's successor, Thomas Eschbach, with a self -composed song. The moving lines reflected the passion and the challenges that Ochsenreither experienced during his tenure: "Now I've been passionate about it for a long time, two and three became very quick from an office." A warm moment that shows the solidarity and respect for a man who has shaped the diocese for decades.
