District hike: Discover the future for Schifferstadt and Gusea project!

On Saturday, October 26th, a special event will take place in Schifferstadt, which not only offers informative insights, but also takes care of the physical well -being of the participants. District Administrator Clemens Körner from the CDU invites all citizens to a slightly different “district administration”. Instead of extensive foot marches, the guests can even look forward to a train ride.

The starting shot is given at the indoor pool at 10 a.m., where the participants gather. The aim of the event is to present the GuseA project, which is to be realized in the Schifferstadt school and sports center. This innovative concept aims to supply the entire area with heat and electricity, regardless of fossil fuels and external energy supply. Various environmentally friendly techniques are used for this: heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, central power storage as well as combined heat and power plants and peak load technology.

According to the information on the GuseA project, the hike leads to the S-Bahn station Bahnhof Süd, and the group drives together to the main train station. Here is the area of the former riot police on which a new city district is to be built. This is an exciting step for the Rhein-Palatinate district, since the new seat of the district administration is also planned there. During a tour, the participants can find out many details about the development project and get an impression of what the future district house will look like.

The event is also provided: around noon, the participants can expect a small snack in the police's former casino. So that the event can be planned well, registration will be recommended by October 21 by email to events@rheinpfalzkreis.de.

This event is not only an opportunity to learn more about future developments in Schifferstadt, but also a way to actively contribute to the planning processes. The citizens are cordially invited to become part of this informative and gastronomic adventure trip.
