Warning strike at Daimler Truck: 2,500 employees demand more money!
The IG Metall announces massive warning strikes for Tuesday in Rhineland-Palatinate! The work is laid down in twelve companies and the waves of unrest hit up! The giant Daimler Truck in Wörth is particularly affected, where two rallies are planned for the early and late shift. Around 2,500 employees gather here over the day who fight for their rights and a higher salary. Last week, 2,500 employees laid down their work - the pressure is growing!

But Daimler Truck is not alone! Other companies such as MAN Truck & Bus AG in Wittlich, Joseph Vögele AG in Ludwigshafen, and Eaton Industries GmbH in Holzhausen are also part of the strike. The anger of the workers is noticeable and the demands are clear: 7 percent more money and an increase in training allowances by 170 euros! However, employers remain only 3.6 percent over 27 months with their unattractive offer. A clear conflict is in sight!
negotiations failed
The third round of the metal industry ended in a fiasco! The talks broke off after just an hour. IG Metall boss Jörg Köhlinger is disappointed: "The employers did not offer anything better in terms of money nor the runtime." Opel manager Ralph Wangemann was also frustrated: "There is no economic basis for the union's demands." The arguments are far from over and the mood is tense!
