Schweighausen: Tragic frontal collision demands a life!

Schweighausen, Deutschland - A terrible accident shaken the L332 between Schweighausen and the intersection to the L333 in the afternoon of November 15, 2024! Around 4 p.m. there was a dramatic frontal collision when a 44-year-old woman from the Rhein-Lahn district wanted to overtake a van with her Audi A4 station wagon. With her in the vehicle there were two young people who witnessed the disaster.

The moment the woman initiated the overtaking process, it crashed! An oncoming Citroen C1, controlled by a 58-year-old man from the Bad Ems-Nassau community, was recorded. The emergency doctor could only find the driver's death - he immediately died at the scene of the accident. The person who caused the accident, seriously injured, indicated that she had caused the accident before her rescue. She was immediately flown to a hospital in Wiesbaden, while her two young people were brought to Neuwied and Dernbach with minor injuries to hospitals. Both vehicles suffered total damage!

The L332 was closed for over four hours, while the police and around 30 firefighters from Nassau, Schweighausen and Dessighofen came. The emergency services were also in use, supported by three ambulances, an emergency doctor and a helicopter. An appraiser was consulted to clarify the course of the accident, and initial findings on site confirmed the statements of the parties. The tragedy not only put the affected person, but also the entire region in a shock!
