Healthy seniors: Workshops improve quality of life in nursing homes!

Trier, Deutschland - Mainz/Trier. A groundbreaking project to improve the quality of life in nursing homes shows impressive results! The “Resi Saluto” initiative, launched by the Association of Replacement Cashys (VDEK), has ensured a breath of fresh air in six care facilities in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland in the past two years. The locations in Montabaur, Worms, Sulzbach/Saar, Homburg, Habscheid and Trier have actively participated and the positive effects cannot be overlooked!

«Resi Saluto» stands for the promotion of resilience to avoid unwanted events and strengthen the well -being of the elderly. The nursing staff were trained by workshops and online training in order to improve the handling of each other and with the residents. The feedback is overwhelming: the quality of life of the residents has increased noticeably, while the stress level of the nursing staff has been significantly reduced!

Project manager Frank Weidner said satisfied with the results: "We did not initiate anything completely new with the project, but the measurement results are extremely positive." Before and after the workshops, both the residents and the nurses were interviewed. The results speak for themselves: the quality of life of the elderly has improved, and the nursing staff also report an increased sense of achievement and better self -care according to the training. A real profit for everyone involved!
