Chestnut princess Hannah II crowned: a festival for Annweiler!

Annweiler. On the first weekend in October, the time had come again: The traditional Keschdefeschd in the picturesque city of Annweiler went into a new round. Despite the previous rainy days, the sun shone during the opening ceremony and gave visitors a festive day. This year a very special honor should not be missing: the crowning glory of the 20th chestnut princess. The tension was great when those present were waiting for the unveiling of the new sovereignty.

Before the new chestnut princess was introduced, Mayor Christian Burkhard did not miss the opportunity to continue tradition by initially honored the court and the outgoing princess Lucia I. Jasmin II, the Landau wine sovereignty, brought the best wishes to Lucia and paid tribute to her one -year term. In this regard, the farewell was emotional - Lucia I could not hold back her tears when she looked back on the support of her family and the tourist office.

and then finally, after a soulful farewell, the time had come to present the new sovereignty: Hannah II. This 25-year-old, who lives in Annweiler and studies primary school in Landau, proudly accepted the crown. Her hobbies include hiking, reading and show dance, which makes her a lively representative of the chestnut princesses. In her inaugural speech, she spoke about the importance of her new role and the responsibility that goes hand in hand with it. She promised to do her best and to do justice to tradition. Lucia I. gave her an exemplary filled gift basket to make it easier to get started with the new office.

The celebrations attracted numerous sovereigns and guests of honor, including Dietmar Seefeldt, the district administrator, who enjoyed the large number of sovereigns and expressed hope of a crowning glory of a Palatinate wine queen. Mayor Carmen Winter and her deputy Benjamin Burkschat were also enthusiastic about the mood at the opening.

For the atmospheric memory of the special day, all the highnesses and their court posed for a group picture, while in the background the festive sounds of the celebrations sound. One of those present included some of the former chestnut princesses who proudly looked back on their tradition and showed everyone that the crown carrier existed far beyond their own year.

While the festival visitors enjoyed the regional chestnut specialties after the culmination, there were numerous activities for young and old. On Sunday there were a public city tour and the Keschde recipe box with the most popular recipes of the past 20 years. An exciting rally for children also provided variety and entertainment during the festival.

The anniversary celebration is not only a tribute to the past chestnut princesses, but also a sign of the durability and vitality of the KeschdefESD, which is celebrated with a special exhibition in the Museum Unterm Trifels until November 15. On November 6th, the princesses Felicitas I. and Daniela I await everyone interested for a culinary wine tasting under the motto "Wine meets chestnut".
