Green in the Kusel district: fresh wind despite inner turbulence!
The Greens in the district of Kusel face challenges, but they are optimistic about the future. While the district association suffers from internal conflicts that are related to the change of the former district spokeswoman Christine Fauß to another district association, there are also positive reports: the increase in membership is remarkable. The district association currently has over 70 members, a sign that despite difficulties, the support of the population does not disappear.
At a last public general meeting in the Gasthaus Born, those present met, including Katja Daish and Oliver Gretzschel, the latest resignations at the federal level and in the green youth with gallows humor. An allusion to the resignation of federal chairman Ricarda Lang loosened the mood: "Or we invite the Ricarda, it has time now." Such jokes clarify that the district association has not lost its motivation despite internal turbulence.
Information offensive against false reports
A central topic of the meeting was the need to make a flood of false reports. Katja Daish emphasized how important it was to use facts to face the populist currents. The party plans to create an information campaign that deals with topics such as municipal finances and renewable energies. "More urgently needs to be informed," said a uniform feeling in the round. One would also like to clarify the heat transition, as many misinformation is circulating here.
In a next step, a monthly newsletter will be introduced to inform the members and interested parties about the activities and topics of the district association. Even with a view to the upcoming Bundestag elections in autumn 2025, a strategy is to be developed in order to make the success of the Greens more visible. Because while the Greens often come up with profound content, populists often score with simply understandable and concise sayings - that should change.
In order to communicate the content presented more convincingly, you are planning various events, including experts on the municipal financial situation and workshops about dealing with renewable energies. The district association thus wants to position itself well and bring relevant topics to the public that are important both locally and at the federal level.
On October 9, the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen Council Group invites you to the Green Stammtisch in the Schleppi Gasthaus in Schönenberg-Kübelberg, followed by another regulars' table in the Kuseler Ziegelhütte on October 10. These meetings offer a platform for the exchange and discussion of current environmental issues.
In order to better manage future challenges and strengthen the basis, the Greens rely on a combination of internal support and external communication. It remains to be seen how these strategies can be implemented in the ongoing election campaign and whether the Greens can gain the required support in the population.
