In the association (VG) Weißenthurm, the new community sisters plus, Daniela Degner and Larissa Rieken started with the important goal of offering older people support in their everyday life. The parish nurse program is tailored to the needs of elderly people who do not yet need care but are looking for support. The Rhineland-Palatinate state government has provided 3.35 million euros for the nationwide introduction by 2026. The community sisters do not offer medical or nursing services, but focus on personal advice on topics such as mobility, living situation and leisure activities.
