Animal becomes Dott: E-Scooter Revolution starts in Kaiserslautern!

From tomorrow Kaiserslautern will be the scene of an exciting change: The popular animal e-scooters and e-bikes will now be available under the new brand name Dott! This transformation, which begins on November 7, 2024, means that users: In the future, users can only book their journeys via the DOTT app. The vehicles are equipped with fresh Dott logos to underline the new look.

What do the animal users need to consider: inside? The switch to Dott is child's play! Simply download the Dott app to the smartphone, create an account and add the payment details. Particularly practical for those who already use the latest version of the animal app: One click on the link in the app is enough to download the Dott app and log in with the existing animal account. All important steps are done in a few moments. All information about the changeover is also accessible via the app.

This is how the rent works with Dott

The e-scooters and e-bikes can be borrowed easily. Users: Inside, simply scan the QR code on the handlebar to start their rent. The cost of a trip in Kaiserslautern? Only one euro activation fee and 29 cents per minute! Payment is made conveniently via PayPal, credit card or Apple Pay. The DOTT app also offers various passes that make renting even cheaper. Groups can borrow up to three vehicles at the same time via a single account - ideal for joint excursions!

The merger of animal and dott has created a European market leader for shared micromobility that is based in Berlin. In the coming months, the Dott technology platform will be implemented in all cities in which animal is active. By spring 2025, Dott's e-scooters and e-bikes should be available in 426 cities in Europe and the Middle East, including 103 cities in Germany.
