A home game that the volleyball players of TS Germersheim could not take lightly! With a clear 3: 1 victory (25:17, 17:25, 25:19, 25:15) against the VSC Guldental, they showed that despite initial difficulties, they have a firm grip on the top division. The Germersheimers started brilliantly, their strong serves overwhelmed the opponent and the double block could hardly be overcome. But the own mistakes crept in and ensured an unexpected loss of sets in the second round.

In the hall there was an incredulous mood when the players went into the break. Coach Eric Palenczat had to wake up his team, and he succeeded! With a solid block and field defense, the Germersheimers pulled away in the third set and secured the 2-1 set lead. After only 1:34 hours, a service error by the guests ended the game. "It was a compulsory victory in which we did not necessarily have our potential fully accessed," said player Yannick Peters. Coach Palenczat was dissatisfied with the lack of concentration in the second set: "I can't quite explain why we suddenly let our heads hang."
