DHL Crash Litvániában: A BND nem lát bizonyítékot az orosz szabotázsról

After the dramatic crash of a DHL freight aircraft in Lithuania, the question of possible Russian sabotage remains in the room. So far, however, the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) has not found any concrete evidence that could support this theory. "You had to suspect immediately after the information we had received," BND President Bruno Kahl told ARD. But he emphasized: "So far we have no concrete indications that something could have occurred in this direction."

The concern about possible sabotage files is not unfounded. Already in summer, German security authorities warned of self-inflammatory packages in DHL freight aircraft. These warnings fuel the fear that Russian secret services could be behind such incidents. Kahl commented: "This is exactly what Putin has in the sense. He wants to mess up our society." The BND sees a strategy in these incidents to sow doubts and fear and to undermine political support for Ukraine.

increased safety precautions

In response to the tense situation, the BND has upgraded its Russia area both in terms of personnel and technically. Kahl also warned that there are indications of the spying on critical infrastructures. "There should also be preparatory actions, which in the event of the case could also lead to damage campaigns," he added. The situation remains tense and the security authorities are alerted.
