Cochem-Zell opens the largest solar cluster in Rhineland-Palatinate!
in the picturesque circle of Cochem-Zell a real energy transition was heralded! The largest photovoltaic system of Rhineland-Palatinate saw the light of day. This impressive solar cluster, consisting of nine-related solar parks, will provide green energy for a whopping 54,000 households. A focus on sustainability and renewable energies to advance the Region!
Cochem-Zell already leads the ranking for photovoltaics in Rhineland-Palatinate, and with this new facility the region takes another brave step into the future. Thanks to innovative concepts and clever planning, the project could be realized despite the challenges of the hilly landscape of the Moselle. Minister of Climate Protection Katrin Eder (the Greens) describes the solution as "intelligent" because it consists of several small but powerful solar systems - together they create almost 200 megawatts!
solar cluster for sustainable change
The inauguration of the Solar Cluser is not only a triumph of climate coitiative, but also a financial blessing for the local communities! Mayor Jürgen Hoffmann (FDP) emphasizes the importance of this energy transition: "The solar cluster is a huge step for the municipal finances." The lease income flow directly into the coffers of the community, and through a solidarity pact, all local communities benefit from this green gold, even those that could not provide any areas.
The commissioned solar energy company was required for this great undertaking. Under challenges, such as complex drilling under the Moselle and by mountains, it was made possible to network the solar systems. The future of energy supply takes shape, and Rhineland-Palatinate impressively shows how the energy transition can succeed!
