Near innovation flow: Focus on the future for entrepreneurs!

Birkenfeld, Deutschland - The “Innovation flow close” event series aims to bring science and business in the region together along the Nahe. Experts of the TH Bingen and the Trier University of Applied Sciences, as well as the IHKs of Koblenz and Rheinhessen, initiate this series to give entrepreneurs insight into current research results. The first event will take place on January 28, 2025 at the Birkenfeld environmental campus, where the focus is on artificial intelligence (AI) in production. This platform enables the exchange between science and business to create synergies and to deal with challenges together. At the same time, a business lunch will take place in Idar-Oberstein on February 18, 2025, also on the subject of AI.

As part of the events, M.Sc. Yannik Brändle from TH Bingen give an interesting lecture on quality assurance in production with AI. Using practical examples, it will show how this technology can help reduce costs and at the same time increase the quality. Dr. Florian Mohr, who will work at the Trier University of Applied Sciences from 2025, inform the participants about the challenges of modern industry, including a shortage of skilled workers and rising energy prices. His lecture entitled "Survival of the Fittest" will respond to the flexibility of production and address technology trends such as Manufacturing as a Service and Data Spaces. According to the lectures, it is possible to visit the technical center on the environmental campus, which promotes direct exchange.
