50 years of funding: an anniversary full of passion and honors!

A solemn meeting took place in Baumholder last Friday when the Funding Community (FG) celebrated its 50th anniversary to support the Football Department at VfR Baumholder. Marco Noreisch, the current chairman and son of the founder Gerhard Noreisch, welcomed numerous guests of honor and club members.

The second half of the 1970s was a pioneering time, not only for the Noreisch family, but also for football in the Birkenfeld district. "The idea of starting a funding community was born at a regulars' table, like so many good ideas," said Marco Noreisch, who reminded that his father was an active footballer at the time. This is how the FG was the first of its kind in the entire circle.

At this festive meeting, two deserved personalities were also awarded: Reimund Conrad and Robert Ruth. Both were recognized for their many years of engagement in football. Norisch presented them with a certificate and a voucher to duly reward their services. "Without those who work tirelessly for our community, football would not be so alive here," said Noreisch.

The foundation of the funding community in 1974 marked the beginning of an era that brought many success and challenges. "We have achieved a lot, but there is still a lot to do," emphasized Noreisch, while looking at the upcoming projects and goals.
