New chief physician in Attendorn: Ahmad Alkoooja brings a fresh wind!

The Helios Clinic Attendorn has carried out an exciting change at the top of the vascular surgery! From November 1st, Ahmad Alkoooja will take over the chief physician position after Dr. Ibrahim Andraos left the hospital. Andraos, who has headed the department's fortunes since April 2023, said goodbye to Düren in October 2024. Now Alkooja, a native Syrian, is ready to bring a fresh air to the clinic!

The new chief doctor brings valuable experience: previously he was a senior physician for vascular surgery at the Bernkastel-Wittlich association hospital in the Eifel. Its specialty? Minimally invasive operations that enable patients faster recovery! Alkooja is not only a master of his field, but also a sports enthusiast. In his free time he keeps fit, likes to ride a bike and is already planning to explore the picturesque biggese lake. "Attendorn is located in the green, but still well connected to the metropolitan areas. That makes the city quite attractive," he enthuses about its new home.

A new beginning for vascular surgery

With Ahmad Alkoooja at the head of vascular surgery, the Helios Clinic Attendorn expects an exciting future. The clinic relies on modern treatment methods and personal care for patients. Alkooja is ready to accept the challenges and further develop the department. The patients can look forward to innovative approaches and a committed tour!
