The Bad Kreuznach public prosecutor's office has now investigated after the Birkenfeld district administration filed a criminal complaint. A spokesman confirmed that disciplinary proceedings are running against Alscher. The member of the state parliament, who recently caused a sensation when he came out of his faction, could face serious legal consequences. Mohamad el-Ghazi, criminal law professor at the University of Trier, already sees an initial suspicion for fraud and infidelity. He warns that Alscher may have deceived the bank employee by pretending to be available to the association's account.
