The museum of the city of Alzey has won the coveted award "Museum of the Month"! A triumphant moment for the cultural city, which was personally celebrated by the Rhineland-Palatinate Minister of Culture Katharina Binz. This award, which is endowed with 1,000 euros, emphasizes the remarkable museum work, which is often done by small and medium -sized institutions. Museum director Dr. Eva Heller-Kareth beams with pride: "I think we did a lot right. You can still do everything even better, but we laid a good foundation."

a focus on excellent performance

The goal of this award is to put the excellent work in the Museums landscape of Rhineland-Palatinate into the spotlight. The decision was made by the Rhineland-Palatinate Museum Association, who honors museums, which is advised by exceptional achievements. A new special exhibition was also opened on Sunday, which is dedicated to the renowned vine breeder Georg Scheu. The museum not only relies on recognition, but also on innovative presentations that inspire visitors.
