Students produce their own news program: A look behind the scenes!
Bad Dürkheim, Deutschland - An exciting project took place at the Werner-Heisenberg-Gymnasium in Bad Dürkheim! As part of the SWR project "Class: News", students produced their own news program for television and Instagram reels. The prospective media professionals had the unique opportunity to work in the state -of -the -art digital television studio from OK: TV Mainz, which is equipped with cutting sites and editorial rooms.
The activities around the explosive topic of fake news and deep fakes were about for a whole day. The students wrote moderations, produced films and conducted surveys and interviews. They took over all tasks themselves - from moderation to the editorial team to directing, mask and cut. At the end of the exciting project day, the young people proudly presented their own news program, inspired by "SWR Aktuell"!
support of media professionals
The talented young media makers were supported by experienced journalists, including Lilly AMankwah from Funk and SWR Newszone as well as Franziska Lenhardt and Gabi Seng from SWR Aktuell Rhineland-Palatinate. Florian Tremmel from OK: TV ensured that the technology worked smoothly. This workshop was organized in close cooperation with the Rhineland-Palatinate media facility and offers the students valuable insights into the world of media production.
