Future for Ahrweiler: FDP demands inter -municipal commercial areas!
Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Deutschland - The FDP in the Ahrweiler district raises the alarm! Urgently needed commercial space is in short supply and time is short! Ulrich van Bebber, the chairman of the FDP district parliamentary group, emphasizes that the need far exceeds the existing capacities. The topography of the circle in particular ensures massive differences in the availability of suitable areas. While the county and the Brohl valley have large areas, the community of Altenahr and Bad Breisig looks dark. And the flood has made many potential areas unusable!
"We have to think about the borders of the municipalities!", Van Bebber demands. A current survey by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) confirms the need for action and shows how important additional commercial space is for the regional economy. Rolf Deisler, group leader of the FDP in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, warns: "With the commercial area in Heimersheim we have exhausted the last options. But that will not be enough!" The economy urgently needs more space to grow and secure jobs.
inter -municipal cooperation required
The FDP has already made proposals for inter -municipal commercial areas in the past, but the support was failing to support. Wolfgang Reuss from the FDP county regrets the lack of determination from other parties. Christina Steinhausen, deputy district chairman of the FDP, emphasizes: "Additional commercial space is not only a question of business development, but also crucial for the quality of life in the district of Ahrweiler." It calls for closer cooperation between the municipalities to find solutions.
"The circle has to take on a coordinating role here!", concludes van Bebber and calls for more responsibility from the district administration. The clock ticks and the future of the economy in the district of Ahrweiler is at stake!
